The Emotion of Exhaustion is None At All

as if i have been recalled

from breathlessness,

i sit as numb as

diabetic legs

for such lengths

to decay, within, any

understanding of longing.

vicious warm smells

drift above and

leave with deadened

senses and

a burning brain
